Not that Cars 2 is an actively bad animated film. It's just sort of an average animated film.. It'll keep the kids content for a couple of hours, though it's likely to bore the grown-ups.. Like Statler and Waldorf, older viewers may kvetch and cavil about the details, but when that red velvet curtain goes up, we wouldn't give up our balcony seats for the world..
