While dutifully pulling on heartstrings, directors Dean Deblois and Chris Sanders valiantly keep punching up the mix.. Regrettably, towards the end the film veers off into a mess of weird aliens and Cartoon Network silliness.. Stitch ... combines all the worst, and most irresistible, qualities of Bugs Bunny, the Road Runner and Speedy Gonzales while taking their pranks to new plateaus of destruction.. An entertaining and (three cheers) modest bauble that eschews most of the blockbuster trappings...
